The history of Death Knights leading into Wrath of the Lich King
Before the Frozen Throne crashed into Icecrown, before the lords of the Burning Legion first conceived of a weapon that would scour life from Azeroth, there was only means, motive and opportunity... and a self-serving power hungry Warlock grasping for a tool.
You have a time machine — what would you change about World of Warcraft before it was released?
Yes, I know you'd probably do other stuff with a time machine, but just assume this particular time machine will only allow you to go back and change things about an MMO because its creators were extremely monofocused, okay?
What changes would you make to class and race restrictions in World of Warcraft?
I think I've been pretty up-front in saying I don't like class restrictions. Dungeons and Dragons gave them up a long time ago now, and I frankly think it was the right call.
The Queue: Jurassic World must be stopped
Not for what they do in the modern world with their resurrected ‘dinosaurs’ that are decades out of date by this point. Featherless Dromaeosaurids? Whatever, it’s dumb, but I can ignore it.

The Queue: Shooting at the walls of heartache
Yes, guys, I’ve been on the Dragonflight Alpha since the Warrior talents came online, I’ve made an Arms Warrior (Horde side) and a Fury and Protection Warrior (both Alliance) for testing purposes. I’ve literally only had a few hours to mess around, and I’m working on a post about what I think. So far, I’m mixed in my response.
Anyway, this is the Queue. Today’s music is by Scandal, with Patti Smyth on vocals, the 80’s classic The Warrior. Because of course it is.
How Fated raids and rewards will work in Shadowlands Season 4
Shadowlands Season 4 starts on August 2 and there are a host of incoming features -- new Mythic+ difficulty dungeons, for example -- but one of the most novel and intriguing is the Fated affixes coming for Shadowlands raid instances Castle Nathria, Sanctum of Domination, and Sepulcher of the First Ones on a rotating system.
D&D’s new Fate Domain Clerics, now in playtesting, can bend fate and twist wills
In D&D, subclasses are some of the most powerful and interesting choices any character class can make — and they're especially powerful for Clerics, who can choose their subclass, known as a "Domain," at level 1.
Why do you play the games you play?
This is one that I get pretty deep up in my own head thinking about from time to time, and I realize many people don't care for this level of analysis of their hobbies.
