The Queue: Zero Point
I’ve said it before — if not here, somewhere — but no game does in-game events like Fortnite does. This week, we got the Devourer of Worlds event, which put players up against Galactus, who could probably fit the entire Battle Royale island in the palm of his hand. It put players in the driver’s seat of the Battle Bus (the thing you drop from at the start of the match) for the first time ever, and it felt like a mix of Star Fox and Star Wars (Fox Wars? Star Star? It’s hard to make this portmanteau work…).
In any case, it was fantastic and the post-event cinematic confirmed that the game is a simulation of some kind, which is always fun. I wish more gaming companies would do events like Fortnite does.
But enough about that. We’re here to Queue.
So, what are you doing in the final hours before Shadowlands launches?
The Queue: Dropping Mollie
Y’all had a lot of comments about Mollie not dropping off that one world boss yesterday, but thankfully, you also had a lot of questions. Also, that bug has been fixed and Mollie is once again dropping!
Let’s celebrate with a Queue, shall we?
What little moments in online gaming have made you smile?
The Queue: Harrumph! >:(
Look, I said I’d have fun no matter who won this year’s Splatoween Splatfest — and I did! — but I’m still a bit salty that, despite its pretty dominant lead in popularity, Team Trick lost once again. Also, Pearl and Marina swapping their black/white outfits was simple but fantastic and I am all about goth Pearl. Anyhow, those are the only results we’ll be discussing today.
Everything else? It’s all coming up Queue.

The Queue: Trick or Treat?
That’s right, friendos, it’s Spooky Splatfest Season, and this weekend’s extra-long Splatfest is all about tricking. Or treating. It depends on which side you choose. This time — just like I did two years ago — I’m going with Team Trick. If we lose again, I’m gonna be so Yogg-dang peeved.
Okay, so I won’t be all that mad. Splatfests are fun, and these surprise bonus ones after the “final” Splatfest are always a… um… treat. Anyhow, let’s Queue as we think about our choices.
The Queue: HMUFA
The third and final season of Kipo premiered this week, and it is fantastic. Like, across the board great. I binged the whole thing in one night and now I’m sad it’s over (especially because it certainly had potential for a lot more). But! I can at least recommend it to all of you in the hopes that you, too, will be moved by its awesomeness.
Anyhow, that’s my Kipo opening. Now it’s time for us to Queue.
How much prep work do you do before a pre-patch or expansion launch?
The Queue: Potatoes and molasses
I hope y’all are having a fun Spooktober so far! Has it already been 1, 5, or 7 days since I last Queued with you? Maybe! In fact, almost certainly yes.
So let’s Queue!
