It’s been a long while since I’ve actually been at the login screen in WoW long enough to hear much beyond the first few notes. But I gotta say, the Shadowlands login music is worth listening to. Also, the title is fantastic.

Give it a listen while we Queue?

Y’know, I wrote that title with the intention of riffing on “global cooldown,” but then I read it and thought it might come off as a comment on global warming. It’s a fun title, though, so I kept it. And now you all know it was about the global cooldown, so we’re clear there.

Right. What was I doing? Oh yeah!

Time to Queue up, partner!

Recently, Blizzard added a Guide Mentor system to the Shadowlands beta.

I went out of town over the weekend, and the result is that my sense of time is even more off than usual. But we at least have one thing that’s consistent*: Mitch’s Thursday Queue! Thank goodness it’s not Friday or anything. Boy, would that throw me into a tizzy!

Anyhow, now that we’ve established that it’s definitely Thursday, let’s Queue!

*Except when it’s not. Which is thankfully not the case on this day, which is Thursday.

As is tradition, I must remind you all that Games Done Quick is currently underway. There are still a few days left to watch, and even though it’s online this year, it’s been a blast to have it back. Major kudos to the GDQ team for getting it up and running as smoothly as it has been! If you’ve never watched before, it’s fun and supports a great cause. I have no idea what being online will do to their records, but past GDQs have managed to raise over $3 million, which is just mind blowing to me.

This week's been full of exciting Shadowlands news, not the least of which was about Heirloom gear and how Blizzard is planning on changing them to be beneficial in the upcoming leveling system.

When BFA is over and most of the game’s players are living it up in the Shadowlands, what do you think will happen to all of the spooked Brutosaurs and their cargo? Will Dazar’alor run out of supplies from all the destroyed cargo? Will the city become overrun with spooked Brutosaurs? Azeroth must know!

Anyhow, while you ponder the fate of NPCs left without player help, let’s Queue, eh?
