I’m a little disappointed that I didn’t really get to participate in this month’s Splatfest for more than a handful of matches. It’s not that the theme was one I was super crazy about — I went Family, FWIW, largely because both of my brothers did and also I have no friends — but rather the flair that went into this particular Splatfest.

In addition to being a 48-hour “Frosty Fest,” each side’s ink was sparkly! Matches were a battle of pretty-looking silver and gold ink, all under a special, wintry night sky. It was cool, and I’m sad that I was feeling too “meh” to really do anything during this one.

In other news, Games Done Quick is currently on, and it’s something I always love to watch. Not that we’re sponsored or anything, but check out the schedule and tune into your favorite game. Me? I’m writing this while I watch a Splatoon 2 speedrun. Go figure!

The beginning of a new year is always an interesting time.

In some parts of the world, it will already be 2019 by the time this post goes live.

I've made no secret of my obsession with Fortnite -- but a large part of that obsession is because I'm fascinated with how Epic Games is willing to make major changes in-game.

Back in the distant, distant past of November 2018, Diablo 3 arrived on the Switch and with it came the announcement of a delightfully devious looking Loot Goblin amiibo to be released in December.

I’m not a holiday person — not the winter holidays, anyway. But I have a few things I consider “traditions,” and making sure I listen to Tim Minchin’s ‘White Wine in the Sun‘ is one of them. In fact, I was almost going to name this Queue after it, but then I remembered… I already did that last year. Fittingly enough, he even posted a photo of (what I presume to be) the location he sings about in the song.

Anyhow, Merry Christmas to those of you who celebrate, and happy holidays to those of you who don’t. Let’s see if I can’t make this an extra special Queue, eh?
