I'm not going to lie -- I was absolutely floored when the World of Warcraft team announced yesterday that Dragonflight patch 10.1 would be arriving on May 2, a good three-to-four weeks before I expected it.

Look, I'm old.

I think it's fair to say that Diablo 2 defined the Action Role Playing Game genre  in a way no other game in that genre can claim.

The past weeks have been devilishly entertaining as Blizzard rolled out major portions of the long-expected Diablo 4 for public feedback.

For the next six weeks you'll be able to run Timewalking non-stop during the Turbulent Timeways event, starting with the Cataclysm expansion this week.

I've been thinking more and more about the question -- "Is Diablo 4 an MMO?" -- since I currently play World of Warcraft, am pretty heavily invested in Diablo 3, was into Diablo Immortal for a couple of months there, and was just utterly charmed by the open beta for Diablo 4.

Well, I liked the Diablo 4 open beta, anyway.

Last week, Game Director Ion Hazzikostas revealed that the developers plan to implement other classes for the Dracthyr besides Evoker.

There's an argument that the art direction of Diablo 3 was too 'light' -- an argument I find strange because there are still mounds of corpses, blood and gore strewn across walls and floors, and whole hosts of demons exploding out of every corner to destroy and consume all things.

World of Warcraft just got its patch 10.0.7, and even though it's not a "major" patch, it's still a pretty hefty one.
