What’s your favorite way to gear up?
I admit it, I still prefer getting gear to drop in a dungeon or raid.
What lore moment in gaming hit you the hardest?
I'm not specifically speaking about World of Warcraft lore here -- it can be any game, from Deckard Cain's last act in Diablo 3 to the fate of Phoibe in Assassin's Creed Odyssey, from Ethan discovering the truth in Resident Evil Village to the final confrontation with Adam Smasher in Cyberpunk 2077.
What games do you seem unable to ever really stop playing?
Of course, I have been playing World of Warcraft since 2004.
Where do you think WoW’s lore has changed most since the original RTS series?
I was speaking with a friend who played Warcraft I, II, and III, but never played World of Warcraft, or even read up on any of the lore.
How would you write Sylvanas Windrunner’s fate while pleasing the largest possible number of players?
First of all: ignore how you personally feel about Sylvanas Windrunner for a moment.
When was the last time a video game made you cry?
We're getting ever closer to the launch of Mass Effect Legendary Edition, which was the first time a game's story, characters, and sense of drama came together in such a powerful way that I cried.
How do you feel about cross-promotion between WoW and WoW Classic?
I keep thinking about the mounts you can get for the Deluxe Edition of Burning Crusade Classic and how those mounts are basically a cross promotion between WoW and WoW Classic.
What have you been putting off in World of Warcraft?
I finally did it -- after over four years of putting it off for one reason or another, I collected all the Falcosaur mounts, along with the associated pets and toys you get along the way.
How often do you run Mythic+ dungeons?
Honestly, the Mythic+ revolution that we saw start in Legion has by and large passed me by.
How long can you devote to a game in one sitting?
As I've gotten older -- seriously, so old, ice forms on my north side -- I simply have a hard time devoting the same kind of time to a video game as I used to.
