It’s Boxing Day up here in the endless winter of Canada. Boxing Day does not involve people beating each other to a pulp. Well, it can, but that’s because people get really weird about sales and returning gifts.

It’s the Queue. It’s the Holiday season. It’s the last dance, so I’m listening to Celldweller.

It makes no difference who we are

Happy Feast of Winter Veil!

Whoa! What’s that sound? Is that the tippy-tapping of secular boots on the roof? Oh, well, it must be yet another sign that it ’tis the season, because rumor has it that non-denominational Mr. Winter is on his way!

Hopefully everyone that is celebrating a holiday this week is having a joyous and relaxing one, and hopefully both Mister and Greatfather Winter delivered plenty of delightful items for you to play with.

While we wait to see whether we can get people to move their giant mounts out of the way to grab presents in Orgrimmar and Ironforge, let’s answer some questions!

Some holiday events are big and flashy and take over major cities or entire games, with tons of stuff to collect -- and potentially miss out on -- while other games acknowledge a season with some small, forgettable token.

This is The Queue, our daily column where you ask us questions and we sing a refrain and back away quickly because we have a whole lot of stuff to get to today!

Just because it's a holiday for most of us doesn't mean that World of Warcraft's weekly maintenance is canceled — though it is a short one this week, with all iterations of WoW going offline for just an hour.

December and thus 2024 is rapidly approaching completion, and every organization is rolling out their Game of the Year Awards -- including us!

As the calendar sets on 2024, we at Blizzard Watch recognize the work of countless developers by looking back fondly on our games of the year.

And so many creatures were stirring!

Who’s got everything done already? Not this guy! There are presents to wrap and people to see and places to go and and and… I need a holiday.

I’m sure that everything will be much calmer next week.
