Burning Crusade Classic

The arrival of Burning Crusade Classic Phase 4 means another chance for WoW Burning Crusade Classic players to acquire new equipment, and as Uncle Ben once said, "with new gear comes new enchants." But just what enchants are available in Burning Crusade Classic — and what should you load up with before you head into dungeons and raids?

Gems were a new addition to WoW in the original Burning Crusade, and The Burning Crusade Classic players can learn Jewelcrafting to cut gems for their gear.

A WoW Classic version of Wrath of the Lich King was only officially announced on April 19, 2022, and we now know we're getting a fairly speedy launch, because Wrath Classic has a September 26 release date.

WoW Classic game producer Aggrend recently posted on the forums to announce there will be a way for people to carry over their Season of Mastery characters into either Wrath Classic or into a regular Classic server.

Like WoW Classic, Burning Crusade Classic starts at a late patch (2.4.3) but game content will roll out over the course of five phases, as well as a prepatch interval I'm terming "phase zero." It mimics the original game release to an extent, but there will be some items whose availability will be unlocked as well over the course of the phases, which we've noted below.

Should there be a Cataclysm Classic?

Back when Burning Crusade Classic rolled out, Blizzard allowed characters to either stay on a pure "Classic Era" server that stopped at level 60, or to progress to a Burning Crusade Classic server to play the new content.

All of the content in Burning Crusade Classic is spread out across five content Phases, and we're finally ready to head to Phase 2, as Overlords of Outland launches on September 15.

It's a start.
