The Queue: I saw the sign

Welcome back to The Queue, our daily Q&A feature for all of Blizzard’s games! Have a question for the Blizzard Watch staff? Leave it in the comments!

I think part of what I’m enjoying the most about Battle for Azeroth so far is just the variety in poses and animation. Like this gnome here, who is holding a very important sign involving something I won’t be spoiling. But he looks really important and official, doesn’t he? And I really want to know where he got those glasses, and where I can get a pair. Look, it shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone by now that as far as I’m concerned, anything transmog-worthy is of immediate interest.

You know what else is interesting? Your questions. Let’s answer some of those.

The Queue: Queen for a day

I haven’t played through Blade’s Edge in years — and I almost forgot about the quest chain where you end up Queen (or King) of the Ogres at the end. I also forgot how horrible it felt to have to then go murder your subjects for quests you haven’t finished yet. I mean yes, I know this makes me a terrible ruler, but you don’t have to spend your last breaths continually pointing it out, you know?

You know what’s a better use of breath? Answering your questions. Let’s do that instead!

The Queue: I chose…poorly

I spent a lot of time in Zangarmarsh leveling my Nightborne alt and trying to figure out why I was bugged. See, herb nodes are supposed to scale — meaning that in theory, you can pick any herb node, no matter where you are. This didn’t seem to be the case once I hit Outland, and I figured I had done something wrong. After many days of doing quests and wracking my brain trying to decipher what was wrong with my character, I moved on to Blade’s Edge. There, I promptly discovered I could pick everything in sight. So it turns out my character wasn’t bugged after all — I just managed to pick the one leveling zone that had bugged plant nodes.

Such is my luck. But hey, let’s answer your questions, shall we?

It got down to a whole 8 degrees last night (-13 °C for non-US readers), and it looks like that’s going to be the new normal for a few days. Ordinarily, the sight of an NPC nonchalantly crafting in the middle of a roaring blaze would be a cause for concern, but right now it just looks downright cozy.

Send help. And blankets.

Let’s answer some questions.

Alpha is an interesting place where the reality of the game world only half exists. One moment you’re traversing through what looks like a perfectly solid tunnel, the next you’re falling through a wonderland of textures to your certain demise.

But hey, it makes for some crazy screenshots, so it’s not all bad, right?

While questing through Silverpine I discovered an Orc who was content to relentlessly walk into a wall, head down and heedless of my successful endeavor to help out the encampment. I don’t know if he was working off a hangover, or if there was simply some comfort to be found in the sensation of solid, cool stone applied to one’s forehead, but I feel you, mister Orc.

I’m not sure how I feel about Void Elves just yet, but man the Void is pretty, isn’t it? I mean, aside from being a desolate chunk of rocks just sort of floating in the vast nothingness of space. I think most of my time spent unlocking the Allied Race was actually just snapping a billion different screenshots of the place. Whoops!

The Queue: How to train your dragon

Welcome back to The Queue, our daily Q&A feature for all of Blizzard’s games! Have a question for the Blizzard Watch staff? Leave it in the comments!

So I’m a dragon now. Well, my Priest is anyway, after finishing the Tarecgosa staff chain. I was slightly bummed that dragon form was not added as a mount for my Priest — you have to use the staff — but I put together a macro that will take care of things quite nicely, as long as the staff is in my bags. …I’m keeping the staff in my bags forever, because that was a really cool quest chain, guys. If you have a caster that hasn’t done the quest, I recommend giving it a shot. It’s a lot of fun!

You know what else is fun? Answering your questions!
