What franchise would you like to see Blizzard put back on the menu?

Forged in the Barrens, the latest expansion for Hearthstone, is coming out next week. Burning Crusade Classic should be launching the beta any day now, and Diablo 2: Resurrection should be starting its technical alpha in the next few weeks if it looks to meet the promised 2021 release. Shadowlands patch 9.1 will be on the PTR Soon™, and while Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4 aren’t due before 2022 at the earliest, at least we know from BlizzConline that development in those games continue to progress.

Meanwhile, we know that there’s a mobile Warcraft game in development, with rumors of other games — mobile and otherwise — percolating as well. And while I’m always a fan of trying out new IPs, I can’t help but wish that one of the games they’re working on is a resurrection of Heroes of the Storm. With League of Legends expanding their popular MOBA to the mobile platform via Wild Rifts, I find myself imagining what could be if Blizzard tried something similar with Heroes. The timing may not be right, especially on the heels of Riot’s efforts, but there’s a part of me that refuses to accept that Heroes is a dead game walking, and any glimmer of hope would be a welcome one.

What about you, are there games from Blizzard’s catalog you’d like to see regain some corporate focus? Do you agree that Heroes deserves another shot? Did the release of the Blizzard Arcade Collection make you yearn for a long overdue follow-up to the classic games Lost Dwarves or Blackthorne? Or maybe you want to see Blizzard return to its RTS roots with Starcraft 3 or the long-desired Warcraft 4? Or do you think the world is finally ready for Rock N Roll Racing in glorious 4K resolution and 120 fps? Add your thoughts to the comments below!
