The Queue: Late night pie
It’s currently a little after midnight on Monday morning and I just ate a delicious piece of pie. It was an apple, lemon, and raisin pie with apples from my parent’s backyard. You can all go ahead and be jealous now.
While you’re getting over your pie related jealousy, it’s time for — The Queue.
The Queue: Snow!
We finally got our first big snowfall in Edmonton. I’m honestly surprised that we didn’t have any up until now. Over the weekend we got somewhere around 20-40cm in one nice big storm, roughly 8-16 inches for those of you not using the Metric system. Time to break out the snowshoes and get supplies I guess.
While I put on 5 more layers, it’s time for — the Queue.

The Queue: Time to hibernate
What happened to October? I blinked and somehow it just disappeared, which feels like a first for this year. I hope you all had safe and fun Halloweens. We didn’t even see any people out trick or treating in my neighborhood. So I spent the evening drinking a nice dark beer and watching the new show on Amazon Prime; Truth Seekers. Which was fun, if a little scattered. I don’t think it knows what kind of show it wants to be, it does have a stellar cast though! Nick Frost, Simon Pegg, Malcolm McDowell, and even Susan Wokoma — who you might recognize as the voice of Princess Talanji. There are worse ways that I could’ve spent my Halloween. The rest of the year is all downhill from here though. If only there was some way I could just sleep through it all…
While I try to hibernate for the rest of the year — it’s time for The Queue.

The Queue: The Devil you say
When I started grabbing questions on Friday I was pretty sure that I knew what I was going to talk about here. My Warlock was finally on the final stages of the Legion Order Hall, and I was going to push through that over the weekend. But then my favorite Mage friend got me a birthday present — Supergiant Games Hades. Folks, it’s fair to say that I haven’t been this captivated by a game in a long time.
I’ve played a few Roguelike games in my time, and Hades has blown them all out of the water. The pacing of the story and progression is so well tuned that I’ve never felt angry at dying while trying to escape from the Underworld. It just means that I’m on my way back to see Ms. Dusa and pet Cerberus. It also means another chance to run into Eurydice, who is voiced by the incomparable Ashley Barret. Supergiant has made some of my all-time favorite games, and I’m happy to say that they’ve done it again and then some with Hades.
While I spend another hour listening to Eurydice sing, it’s time for — the Queue.
