Metroid Dread came out a couple weeks back, and it surprised my in how unforgiving the game could be at times -- I died a lot more than I expected to during my playthrough.

One week of October down, y'all.

This year just kind of keeps dragging on, and most days feel like other days. To wit, this entire week has felt like it should be one day ahead. But it is not, in fact, Friday — it’s Thursday. And you know what that means.

We’re gonna have a Queue.

Look, I know September is one of the mostly accepted starts of "Spooky Season" -- (or should I say, "SpooOoOOo00ky Season"?

Well, here we are at the end of another month.

September has never been my favorite — and the 30th in particular marks the day I lost my sister, so it always has a melancholy vibe about it. After 11 years, it’s not so much a painful reminder as it is a solemn memory but still. The upside is that it also means I have October to look forward to in less than a day, and that’s great! Spooky season is decidedly “me,” after all.

You know what else there is to look forward to? A Queue! Starting riiiiiight….now!

Somehow, we've managed to make it to the final Friday in September.
