Maiev entered the Nexus this week to a dominant start, quickly vaulting to win rates unseen in Heroes of the Storm since Rehgar could dive into a 1-versus-5 scenario with a self-cast Ancestral Healing and come out on top.

Today's Heroes of the Storm patch is going live this morning and introduces Maiev, Lunar Festival 2018, and a variety of changes to existing heroes.

Today's likely to be a big one in Heroes of the Storm.

The 2018 Gameplay Update released for Heroes of the Storm in mid-December introduced changes to matchmaking -- notably, it introduced peformance-based matchmaking.

Unlike last week's brief silence on the Heroes of the Storm front, there's a lot to be excited about this week: newly announced hero Maiev is on the PTR along with a Malthael overhaul and Lunar Festival is right around the corner.

A new build has hit the Heroes of the Storm PTR today and, in addition to Maiev and the return of the Lunar Festival, the patch includes some surprises: a small Malthael overhaul, buffs to Greymane's Cocktail, and preliminary testing on in-game voice chat.

Lunar Festival will arrive in Heroes of the Storm once again this year on February 6 and run through March 5.

Yesterday, after a couple days of teasing, Blizzard officially revealed Maiev as the next hero coming to Heroes of the Storm.

Blaze has been around the Nexus for a few weeks now, and as is tradition, teasers for the next hero have begun to trickle in from Blizzard.
