You know the Mondays where you look at the to-do list (or worse, have it swirling in your head like your forgotten lunch's chowder) and want to immediately retreat under your blankets and decry the entire day?

This week we're diving into a rustic fantasy of small town heroes (or heroes to be) in Legend in the Mist, where our humble villagers come together to deal with a single shambling undead that found its way to town.

This week, we're going to take an adventure with a fox and a raven (Spirit of the North 2), get revenge against a savage planet (Revenge of the Savage Planet), and to study some magic and relax (Ithya: Magic Studies). We'll also touch on a favorite of mine that's on sale, being we're a little light on new, well rated, interesting titles this week (Dark Souls 3).

This week the Epic Games Store is giving away two titles: Deadtime Defenders, which is being newly released to the Epic platform, and Touch Type Tale, a very unique take on classic RTS games.

On this most Monday of Mondays (thus far in 2025), I turn to content discovered in another dark period (the Pandemic).

Super Space Club is the chillest space-based arcade gunner game I've ever seen, and the Epic Games Store is giving it away for free this week.

If you've never heard of this week's featured cute animal, the rock hyrax, allow me to paint you a word picture -- imagine a cross between a loaf of bread and a groundhog, add adorable little fangs, and inflate the resulting animal's paws to comically round proportions.

It's a once-in-a-lifetime heist: to sneak into the biggest game convention around (celebrating much loved baking sim and MOBA Heroes of the Dough) and steal the esports trophy (which happens to be made of pretzels) from under everyone's noses (both literally and metaphorically).

This week, Wizards of the Coast updated the System Reference Document (SRD) for Dungeons and Dragons to version 5.2, making the game's 2024 rules available in an open source format.
