It's spooky season here on Tavern Watch, so we're playing something appropriately spooky -- Shadowdark!

This week is the third and final Steam Next Fest of 2025 and, as always, we are excited to try out new game demos.

This week, we're highlighting a few titles that are on the "newer" end of the spectrum: stuff that has either come out in the last few weeks (or at least officially launched in the last few weeks) that I've also never covered before.

Epic Games Store is giving away Amnesia: The Bunker, the most recent game in the iconic horror series by Frictional Games, for free.

As we go through Spooky Season and a bunch of horror video games, The Excavation of Hob's Barrow was an instant favorite for how it played with tropes that were common to literature, especially gothic horror conventions.

One of the most popular online tools for digital tabletop map-making is Inkarnate, an easy-to-use website that has found itself struggling through a string of controversies in recent weeks.
