Overwatch

Until this week we had three undefeated juggernauts in the Overwatch League: the London Spitfire, New York Excelsior, and Seoul Dynasty, all of which were all made up of Korean players.

Update: Nicole Carpenter at Dot Esports reported earlier today a Blizzard rep says this is a test which is now over.

The latest Overwatch developer update from Papa Jeff tackles a pair of hot community topics -- notably the ongoing issues of toxicity and overall hero balance in the game.

After waiting since BlizzCon 2017 for the premiere of Blizzard World in Overwatch, the wait was finally over this week.

Recently, Andrea Toyias, Senior Casting and Voice Director at Blizzard and person who holds some of the coolest panels at BlizzCon, tweeted about an article at Rolling Stone covering Overwatch. I think it's one of the most succinct ways to describe the Overwatch phenomenon in terms of its ubiquity.

There were two big surprises this week in Overwatch League esports.

Blizzard isn't messing around anymore when it comes to cheaters, especially in South Korea, where cheating in games can be a criminal offense.
