The Queue: A Basic Campfire Screen
As I organized my characters into several campfire groups, I tried to consolidate them into shared classes and armor types whenever possible — for instance, I have one for my three Mages and one Priest, and another with two Warriors and two Death Knights.
However, there were some leftovers, and I had the hilarious idea to group up my three Warlocks with my Paladin.
I have to say, she isn’t taking too well to her new friends.
Either way, this is The Queue, where we delve into forty-seventeen questions about campfires, so grab your marshmallows, friends.
The Queue: I want to ride on a skatebroom
I could talk about WoW’s latest patch 11.1, or I could talk about Metaphor: ReFantazio which I just finished and think was amazing (it definitely deserves all the awards it has gotten). But instead I’m going to use this space to drum up a little support for ILA: A Frosty Glide. You star as the titular witch Ila as you journey around the land looking for your lost cat Coco. Your transportation? A skatebroom! Handles like a skateboard, flies like a broom — the perfect method for getting around. Inspired by games such as A Short Hike and A Hat in Time, Ila seems like it’ll be a delightfully cozy game. They’ve already hit some of their stretch goals like Switch and Playstation ports, but I always think the more support the better. The Kickstarter ends in a day so be sure to check it out and if it looks like your kind of game you may want to get in on it now.
While I try to rig my gas blower to a broom, let’s answer some questions!
The Queue: Grin and bear it
If there’s one thing to be said about this website, it’s definitely not that we have too few puns.
This is The Queue, our daily column where you ask us the questions and we’ll give the answers just as soon as we figure out a witty turn of phrase to add.
The Queue: Is winter over?
Last week I was excited for spring, and this week the temperatures have been wonderful! We’ve gotten into the above-freezing area a few times and it has felt so nice.
However, as a Canadian who lives where I do, I know that a second or third winter can always be lurking around the corner. I’m just hoping that Arthas is too busy with his upcoming trip to Warcraft Rumble to freeze everything around me again.
While I optimistically break out the Hawaiian shirts, it’s time for — The Queue!
The Queue: Did someone ask for another Island Expedition? Because it wasn’t me.
Siren Isle is fine. It’s completely fine. Nothing wrong with it at all, and there’s not much more to say about that.
The Queue: Avowed
I find myself wondering if I’ll love this game the way I did DA:The Veilgard, and I honestly don’t know yet. Avowed feels very different to other games I’ve played in the same basic wheelhouse — it lacks the zany satirical feel of The Outer Worlds, the breathless chaos of Fallout: New Vegas, and while you can certainly understand that this game is inspired by games like the various Elder Scrolls games, it doesn’t really feel like one of those.
The Queue: Hero or Menace?
The Queue is a daily column that fights crime, but some people — especially those trying to make scandalous headlines to sell newspapers — may frown upon what they call “vigilante justice.”
Is The Queue a column of heroes? Are we saving the day by providing insightful and amusing answers to your burning questions?
Or is The Queue a menace in column form? Do we exist to sow chaos and spread confusion? I mean, sometimes we do answer your questions with other questions, or give answers that are technically correct but deeply unhelpful. We also like to misinterpret questions on purpose from time to time. We’re unpredictable and we just wanna have fun, like Queues are wont to do.
As you decide for yourselves, let’s head into another day of crime-fighting and feeble attempts to slowly instill our readers with the urge to embark on a quest for world domination, or veiled hints that their questions might contain a hidden conspiracy theorist subtext.
The Queue: Genius!
I love detective and puzzle games. I am actually incredibly good at them, if you don’t mind me saying. But tell me why I can breeze my way through an intentional puzzle featuring rotational symmetry and puns in Italian and music composition and Greek philosophers and medallions featuring all six official Stooges only to discover, when I finally knuckle under and try to find a guide at the part where I’m stuck, the explanation offered is literally “go through the door, and.” What door? Where is it? Is the door in the room with us right now?
Anyway, I’m clearing out my Steam backlog, and Lorelei and the Laser Eyes is a great time, as long as you know what a door is, apparently. Also there’s espresso. And a dog (and you can pet the dog).
This is The Queue, our daily column where you ask us questions and we hope you find the answer on this page we ripped out of a journal. Good luck.
The Queue: Spring is almost here!
We’re getting so close to spring y’all! By this time next week, we might even have temperatures above freezing again! It’s been a long cold start to February for us here in Canada, but we’re almost through it — and I, for one, cannot wait.
While I go scrape the ice off of my car yet again, it’s time for — The Queue!
The Queue would always rather be napping
Naps aren’t just a pastime, they’re a way of life. A way of life I would rather be following right now.
But my dedication to you, fellow Queuevians, is so great that I am here answering questions (questions?) instead. Let’s get to it, my friends.
