The Queue

This is The Queue, our daily column where you ask us questions and we sing a refrain and back away quickly because we have a whole lot of stuff to get to today!

Fa la la la laaaa, la la, la, laaaaaaa!

And so many creatures were stirring!

Who’s got everything done already? Not this guy! There are presents to wrap and people to see and places to go and and and… I need a holiday.

I’m sure that everything will be much calmer next week.

Until then, it’s time for — The Queue!

A game can’t put buttons in front of us and expect us not to press them. Buttons are there for the pressing, and the bigger and redder they are, the more tempting they are to tap. If you don’t want us to press a button, have you considered not having a button? I think that’s a surefire method.

With that out of the way, let’s get to the Queue.

If I didn’t know it would break the Queue, I would probably just use my SS folder to answer questions this week.

2024 was one of the years of all time. Today, we celebrate it.

This particular strat is supposed to be getting patched out of Hearthstone Battlegrounds by the time this Queue goes live, and good riddance. Sure, I hit a win with it every time, but at what cost? To be clear, I don’t hate the baller, I just hate the game.

Some days you just don’t have anything to really say. It’s the holidays, things are busy.

While y’all are distracted by that, it’s time for — The Queue!

Does Geoff Keighley not realize gamers are getting older? That we have bedtimes? Limited attention spans? Four hours of game trailers is just too much. By the end I had forgotten the beginning, the middle was a blur, and I was starting to doze off so I’m not completely sure how it ended. Hopefully someone won!

But I’m being too harsh. The whole show was worth watching just to see Statler and Waldorf call Geoff a sellout. The Outer Worlds 2 trailer was also extremely good, and possibly some other things happened.

But for now, let’s get to the Queue.

Not just with Varric, either. Rook flirts with literally everyone/everything in this game.
