Though many may have guessed after WoW Classic and Burning Crusade Classic, now it's official: Wrath of the Lich King Classic will be the next expansion to WoW Classic.

One of the things that really makes it hard for me to play WoW Classic is the UI.

We talked about the developers adding new mechanics to Blackwing Lair for the WoW Classic Season of Mastery -- especially end boss Nefarian -- ahead of its release in Phase 3 in an attempt to increase the challenge for players.

You may have heard that Blackwing Lair is getting seriously buffed in WoW Classic's Season of Mastery, with significant changes to almost every single fight -- perhaps every fight, but we don't know what's up with Broodlord Lashlayer yet -- but while some of these fights are pretty radically altered, none is as complicated as the upcoming Nefarian changes.

Back in November, Blizzard launched the first Season of Mastery realms for WoW Classic.

Blackrock Mountain was home to a lot of end-game content during vanilla-era World of Warcraft, were everyone would gather to run Blackrock Depths, Blackrock Spire, Molten Core, and starting in patch 1.6.0, Blackwing Lair.

The history and lore of Warcraft has usually been defined by eras of war.

I've said before that World of Warcraft should steal more ideas from the Diablo franchise, and the WoW Classic Season of Mastery has done exactly that, introducing the Soul of Iron buff/Tarnished Soul debuff system to make Hardcore play possible.

The PTR for The Burning Crusade Classic has been out since December.

We know that the Season of Mastery makes some changes to the WoW Classic formula, and those changes are aimed at a faster paced leveling experience and a more challenging feel to raid encounters that players basically blew through when WoW Classic dropped in 2019.
