Diablo 4

People — humans in general — are a largely irrational group.

Diablo 4's first Season, the Season of the Malignant, will launch on July 20 with a host of additions to the game — many of which you'll only be able to access by making a new seasonal character.

I have a laundry list of changes I'd like to see made to Diablo 4, varying from game mechanics to lore and story additions.

We've known for quite a bit that a Hardcore mode was going to be part of Diablo 4, but Blizzard upped the ante for the latest release -- the first 1000 characters to reach level 100 on hardcore would have their names enshrined on a statue of Lilith to commemorate their achievement.

The second part of the Diablo-themed crossover event, Welcome to Sanctuary, is now live in World of Warcraft.

Diablo 4 is here, and with it we return to general use stats for all classes (similar to Diablo 2), where you prioritize the core stats based on the attributes they grant your class.

Renown is a new feature in Diablo 4 that is designed to reward your characters for taking the time to explore each of the game's five regions.

It’s like Christmas is coming.

With Diablo 4 on the horizon, I find myself gripped by the certainty that if I read a negative review, or even a hundred negative reviews, my own experience playing the game in the Early Access, Open Beta, and Server Slam periods means that I know that those reviews would not convince me.

The world of Sanctuary may not be overly hospitable, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy the launch of Diablo 4 — or the upcoming Server Slam— without a few libations.
