With the introduction of Crucible of Storms last week and the coming of Mythic and Raid Finder this April 23rd, a lot of us are preparing for our first time inside the new raid.

Even though they've never officially been called "Seasons" until now, World of Warcraft has had a rough concept of Seasons for a while, as item-level caps naturally go up whenever a new raid tier releases.

If you've been paying attention, you've noticed that there's been some talk about the Item Squish in Battle for Azeroth and especially on the current alpha.

With patch 7.2, a stealthy change made outdoor mobs scale up with player's ilevel — which was, to put it mildly, tremendously unpopular.

Update: After a mountain of negative feedback, Blizzard has dialed down scaling.
