Mythic+ Affixes

World of Warcraft: The War Within gets the typical batch of new dungeons, but not too much will be changing in dungeons themselves — we're doing the same old thing, just in new places.

A storm is a-brewin' in Dragonflight Mythic+, with the Thundering seasonal affix now in testing on beta. The affix sends a storm through your group on a predictable timer (currently one minute and fifteen seconds).

In the new Season 4 of Mythic+ Dungeons coming in Patch 9.2.5 of Shadowlands, players will no longer run the same set of dungeons they have been all expansion long, but the new list of dungeons aren't new dungeons at all.

The First Ones used Zereth Mortis as their staging ground to order and create the Shadowlands -- perhaps a bit like a programmer might create a new zone -- so it makes sense that the newest affix would be Encrypted in more ways than one.

Honestly, the Mythic+ revolution that we saw start in Legion has by and large passed me by.

Patch 8.3 is coming out today!

World of Warcraft has certainly taken its fair share of ideas from the Diablo franchise: random legendary drops, the whole idea of socketing gems into loot -- even the original Classic WoW talent trees were inspired by the skill trees of Diablo 2 but today the tables have turned.

Patch 8.2 is right around the corner, and it's packed with so much content that it's kind of hard to keep up.

Mythic+ dungeons in World of Warcraft are a great way to challenge your group or get some of the best gear available.
