Roofus, the newest World of Warcraft charity pet, supports Habitat for Humanity by building his way into your heart

World of Warcraft introduced player housing to the community as part of the lead-up to the coming Midnight expansion, and Blizzard is taking that commitment seriously. To honor this next chapter for the title, Blizzard “wanted to do what we can to support those who need more than pixels when it comes to having a place to live” with their next charity pet. Yes, 2026’s charity pet pack supports Habitat for Humanity, helping provide shelter to families in need of a home. To date, Habitat for Humanity has helped more than 65 million people across the globe. In this Cuteness special edition, we celebrate the absolutely precious good boy coming soon to the World of Warcraft pet line-up this year as part of the charity pet pack — Roofus the builder pup.

Friends, I can’t verbalize (or even replicate) the sound I made when they introduced Roofus in the 2026 State of Azeroth showcase. He’s just so darn cute, and the fact that he’ll be available in both modern and Classic realms is beyond spectacular. And he comes with accessories for your (modern) WoW player house! In addition to Roofus, the charity pack will include a dog house, a bowl, and a bed as decor items for your home — all the comforts for your newest best bud. And in honor of the charity he represents, Roofus has a very unique idle animation; after all, this pup loves to build!

The charity pet has become a time honored tradition for World of Warcraft. Roofus is actually the fifteenth in a storied line of purchasable pets supporting a good cause:
