Diablo 2: Resurrected is bringing a whole host of changes to the game with its upcoming patch 2.4, and among those changes are new Rune Words.

Back in the late 1990s/early 2000s, Blizzard had several TTRPG products out -- from licensed Diablo properties from Wizards of the Coast themselves to the Warcraft/ World of Warcraft Roleplaying Game.

The upcoming patch 2.4 for Diablo 2: Resurrected already is promising to change class balance and add Ladder play -- but it turns out, it's also going to be adding some brand-new Runewords that weren't in the original Diablo 2.

I'm legally blind, the result of a condition called retinopathy that is causing the blood vessels in my retina to, well, explode.

Patch 2.4 will launching in Diablo 2: Resurrected soon, and though Blizzard hasn't yet given an official release date for 2.4, we can make some educated guesses as to when the patch might go live.

They probably won't be here anytime soon — we know for a fact that some of Blizzard's biggest titles that are still in development, like Diablo 4 and Overwatch 2, won't be released in 2022.

The subtitle to this post could just be and why is it Arcane because Arcane is one of, if not the, best video game tie-in stories I've ever seen Yes, even better than The Last Guardian, my previous favorite. The Last Guardian is one of the best novels ever set in a game world, which may not be a surprise as it features characters like Medivh and Khadgar and is written by Jeff Grubb, longtime AD&D designer and author of the Azure Bonds tie-in novel, which introduced Dragonbait the Saurial and yes I admit it I loved that book because it made dinosaur people canon in D&D.

In Diablo 3 Season 25, you'll be using the power of the seven Evils against them by collecting Soul Shards that contain a fraction of the Demon Lords' own power.

If you're playing Diablo 3's Season 25, you're probably already hard at work collecting Soul Shards, the Season-only gems that can be socketed in helms and weapons which grant powerful bonuses based on one of the seven Evils.

Don't faint, but somehow we're coming up on 25 years of Diablo.
