Since One D&D started its playtesting, the main question on everyone's mind has been: when will One D&D officially release?

Next year will be the 50th anniversary of Dungeons & Dragons, and in anticipation of the event Wizards of the Coast has been updating the Open Gaming License (OGL) that allows third parties to publish D&D-compatible content...

The Dungeons and Dragons community has been angrily swarming like Wizards of the Coast kicked an ant hill as a change to the existing Open Game License was leaked.

Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen is now available, bringing the world of Krynn to D&D 5e , a setting with almost four decades of lore and worldbuilding under its belt.

One of the changes is the One D&D playtest is the addition of Epic Boons -- special feats available to specific class groups at level 20.

The Rogue class in Dungeons & Dragons 5e has come a long way from its roots as the Thief class back in the AD&D days, but the One D&D Rogue — and the entire concept of Expert Classes, which includes the Bard, Ranger, and Rogue — is reminiscent of those early Thieves.

Wizards of the Coast has demonstrated their plans for what the Bards will be in the upcoming One D&D, with playtest material showcasing the new Expertise classes.

Rangers are not the strongest class in D&D right now, and Hunters are not the most exciting subclass, but there's a bright spot at the end of the tunnel in One D&D.

Released in the familiar Unearthed Arcana format, the Expert Classes playtest document for One D&D presents changes to the entire structure of classes in the game with the creation of Class Groups.

In terms of both video games and tabletop games, I tend to prefer role-playing games.
