The Queue: Kindred spirits
You ever see promo art of a character and it resonates with you really deeply? That’s me with AF Kay.
This is The Queue, where you ask us questions and we’ll get around to answering them by turn three, probably. If you bring us a drink in a coconut, that might speed things along.
The Queue: I need healing!
I spent a lot of this weekend resting my ankle, I don’t recommend walking on stairs just after a night of freezing rain.
Ouch.
Where’s a kindly grandmother to shoot me full of healing nano-darts when you need one!
While I try and track down another ice pack, it’s time for — The Queue.
The Queue: By the time you read this I will have endured the eye lasers
So how’s your Friday going? Mine is likely to be very uncomfortable. I will be recuperating from having various blood vessels on my retinas burned out with lasers. It’s not actually painful, but it is really disturbing to feel your eyeballs get hot.
This is the Queue. Let’s talk about something else.
Anything else.
The Queue: Anurognathus
Paleoart is a fascination of mine. We’ve talked about it here on the site before, and today I want to introduce you to Anurognathus, a tiny beakless Pterosaur, as reconstructed by Liam Elward. What I enjoy about Liam Elward’s reconstruction of Anurognathus is that he doesn’t present the animal as a zombie or flying cadaver, desiccated and tightly wrapped with all of its muscles showing like an actor in a Marvel film.
Seriously, they dehydrate the heck out of themselves, it’s mega unhealthy.
This is the Queue. Normalize adorable Anurognathus ammoni.
The Queue: It’s Turkey Lurkey Time
This is the worst holiday, both in real life and in WoW. Mashed potatoes and mac and cheese are fine and dandy but I can make those any day of the year without the additional pressure of a holiday. Even the media celebrating it is the actual worst.
This is The Queue, where you ask us questions and we’ll answer while stealthed AFK in the Exodar to avoid being shot, probably. Bah, humbug.
The Queue: Monday for real this time
It’s Monday again. Which means here I am again too. Wasn’t that weird last week when there were two Mondays? Good thing that doesn’t happen all the time — that’d be exhausting. I’m already regular tired all the time, I don’t need double Monday tired too.
While I go get another cup of coffee, it’s time for — The Queue.
The Queue is tired today (the Queue is tired every day)
It’s not that I’m tired of raiding, it’s more that I’m tired of everything. It’s been a week, folks.
The Queue: Wait a second, is today Monday?
I mean I’m here writing the Queue, so it could be Monday… But I feel like I would’ve remembered a weekend in between my last Queue and this one… how very curious.
While I get to the bottom of this, it’s time for — The Queue.
The Queue: My mistake was resting for even a second
Yesterday, I wrote a couple of posts about WoW Classic and the Season of Mastery, went downstairs and fed my cats and made breakfast for my wife, and looked outside at the snow that’s literally everywhere because I live in Edmonton, which becomes Hoth in winter. Then I decided to sleep, because I’d written a bunch and I was tired and I figured it would be a nice, quiet day on the site and I needed some catch up sleep pretty badly.
So yeah. That’ll learn me. I’m never sleeping again.
The Queue: Tis the season
As Anne Shirley said at the end of Anne of Green Gables, all’s right with the world.
This is The Queue, where you ask us questions and we might get off our transmog mammoth long enough to answer, because these SUNGLASSES, right?
