The Queue: Just five more minutes
Welcome back to The Queue, our daily Q&A feature for all of Blizzard’s games! Have a question for the Blizzard Watch staff? Leave it in the comments!
Shh, don’t wake the trash panda. He’s had a very long weekend of trashing houses in Drustvar and digging through garbage for interesting trinkets and things to eat. Don’t worry, another five minutes and he’ll wake up with a jolt and realize that BlizzCon is mere days away. In the meantime, let’s answer your questions, shall we?
The Queue: I’m so sick
Enjoy this video from 2007. Yes, that’s what the models really looked like.
I’m extremely ill. Breathing through my nose requires cooldowns. Let’s talk about stuff.
The Queue: They basically took my name off the site
Gone for a bit to have a kid and they practically took my name off the site! The nerve!
I’m not even the one s!@#posting on Twitter anymore! Ugh. Time to start a new Watch.
Maybe Turtle Watch, a site that just live streams baby turtles doing baby turtle things? Actually, wait…
The Queue: What day is it again?
After nearly a week out of town, I have lost all sense of the passage of time and space. But no one else has written the Queue today, so I guess it must be my turn. That’s how these things work, right? Hopefully that’s how these things work.
And if not, that’s how I’m going to make them work. Let’s do this.
The Queue: A very tricky Splatoween
I’m absolutely biased — because Halloween is the best holiday ever — but I think this may have been my favorite Splatfest so far. It was Team Trick versus Team Treat in an extra-long, 48-hour fight for domination. Naturally, I chose Team Trick because, well… have you met me?! On top of a fun theme and awesome ink colors (orange vs. purple), Nintendo also recently allowed players to download spooky masks. Totally free, and you got four of ’em to make this Splatfest even spookier than it already was.
All of the above said, Team Treat won (barely), and the Shifty Station this time was cool but the gimmick made for some frustrating choke points, so… Ah, who am I kidding? It was still awesome. I love October!
Oh, right. Queue time.
The Queue: Chomp chomp
Welcome back to The Queue, our daily Q&A feature for all of Blizzard’s games! Have a question for the Blizzard Watch staff? Leave it in the comments!
Don’t feel bad for this troll, he offended the trash loa and must be punished. I also offended the trash loa, which is why I was the poor unfortunate soul chosen to take a chomp at troll tookus. The moral of the story here is maybe you shouldn’t offend the trash loa, which is only appropriate because Jani is the best.
You know what else is great? Answering your questions. Let’s get to that.
The Queue: And also the R, again
I’m writing the Queue on my wife’s birthday and that headline is one of her favorite jokes so yeah, here it is again. Look, it’s her birthday, she gets to see it.
The Queue: A first time for everything
Hey! I’m Anna Bell and this the first queue I’ve ever been allowed to write. I’m being given the pleasure because half the editors are on leave, but just because it’s just me, Mitch, and Dan doesn’t mean we won’t all have fun together, right? Right. It’s all smooth sailing around here!
Let’s get to the questions!
The Queue: The one where I meant to go to bed early
In yesterday’s Queue I asked for questions early in the day so I could write the Queue early and get to bed, because by the time you read this I will be on an airplane to New York to spend time with family. And you gave me some excellent Gnome-themed questions — with my sincere apologies to the ones I have not bothered to answer —which were very helpful.
And yet somehow I’m still writing the Queue after midnight and my alarm is going off at 5am.
So, not that I want to rush this or anything, but let’s get to the questions.
The Queue: Weather’s always nice inside my head
Happy Tuesday! I hope the world is treating you all well and the Old Gods are smiling at you with at least one of their mouths.
Let’s Queue.
