The Queue: Quest Bangs
What’s a Quest Bang? Well, I just found out that’s what the exclamation points that float over questgiver heads in games like WoW are called. I kind of love it, I won’t even pretend otherwise.
And yes, that is my Death Knight with a rainbow coming out of her head. Well, not really, but close enough.
Let’s chat, guys.
The Queue: Let’s talk about weapon drops
Hot to trot, make any toon’s eyes pop
It uses what it’s got to get whatever the mob don’t got
Druids drool like fools, but then again they’re only elven’
The stick was a hit because it’s damage was bookin’
Gold, pearls, rubies, crazy diamonds
Nothin’ we ever wore was even common
Let’s talk about weapons, Blizzard
Let’s talk about you and me
Let’s talk about all the good things
And the bad things that may be
Let’s talk about weapons.
Editor’s Note: You’re welcome.
The Queue: I’m a wreck, you’re a wreck
But Jaina proved that even the worst shipwrecks can turn into beautiful arcane death-dealing machines, and isn’t that what we all want in life? Of course it is.
Let’s fly on to the rest of the Queue.
The Queue: All hail the mighty Cube
It’s been a little while since I wrote about Fortnite in one of these intros, but it’s about time to do so again. Why? Because a few weeks back, the mysterious crack in the sky disappeared — but it left behind a gift! That gift was the mysterious Cube, which spawned after lightning struck the same area several times over the course of a day or so. When the Cube finally appeared, players noticed it would bounce them away if they touched it, as well as lash out at anyone nearby if attacked.
Then, it started moving.
It’s moved pretty far at this point, and it’s already left behind two runes surrounded areas of low-gravity. Oh, and at one point during the Summer Skirmish, it made everyone float — literally no one had seen that before or expected it (not everyone found it as funny as I did). All in all, the mystery of the Cube and where it’s going is yet another example of Fortnite keeping players intrigued through seemingly small changes that are clearly building toward something big.
Anyhow, I suppose it’s time we talk Blizzard, huh? This is The Queue.
The Queue: Excellent start to the day
Welcome back to The Queue, our daily Q&A feature for all of Blizzard’s games! Have a question for the Blizzard Watch staff? Leave it in the comments!
Just when I thought I couldn’t possibly love Boralus any more…I mean, look at that. Coffee cups the size of my head and some delicious looking donuts to go with it. It’s Monday, it’s the Queue, it’s a holiday for some of you so let’s just settle in and answer some questions, shall we?
The Queue: It’s surprisingly hard to find green tinted plate armor
I’m currently wearing a mix of the DK PVP gear from Mists of Pandaria and the Death Knight Deathlord set from Legion to match with my sword. The Deathlord set isn’t as green as I would like. But it’s fairly green and it goes well with the PVP gear and the sword. It’s my Unholy set, since I find myself running Mythics as DPS a lot more often than as a tank — we have a pretty dedicated tank in my guild so when I tank it tends to be in PuG’s.
And yes, I really do need a red transmog for when I’m tanking and a green one for Unholy. If I was using Frost much (I’d try it, but I don’t have weapons for it) I’d have a blue transmog for it. This is really important, okay? No, no, it’s silly, I know that.
Let’s chat. Games and stuff.
The Queue: Apparently my Queue headlines suck, so here’s a good one — CHILI CHILI CHILI
This is totally not to be read into at all.
The Queue: There’s a question, but is there an answer?
Does every question have an answer? While this column posits to answer all of you gaming questions… some questions don’t have a right or wrong answer.
But I’m here and you’re here, so let’s see what we can do to answer the unanswerable.
The Queue: Fork! Me can’t eat soup!
Much as I wanted to support my Gremlin Girl Pearl, it was hard to argue that spoons were more useful than forks once liquid meals were brought into the equation. And while spoons did ultimately win the popularity contest, forks still won the overall Splatfest. They barely won, but they won all the same.
Both sides won pretty close to 50% of their matches (with Forks slightly ahead), but I swear, I must have lost 75% of my matches. The Shifty Station this time around was another that helped emphasize both offense and defense, but I think I liked last month’s better. Let’s see what next month brings — and if the requirement of the Switch’s online service will change anything.
But that’s the future — right now it’s The Queue(ture).
The Queue: Snack time
Welcome back to The Queue, our daily Q&A feature for all of Blizzard’s games! Have a question for the Blizzard Watch staff? Leave it in the comments!
Oh hello. We’re shuffling things around here a little bit, and I’m your new Monday Queue person. Have a seat. Have some cookies and milk. Let’s just take a snack break and answer some of your questions, shall we?
