The Queue: Existence ought to be weird

Can I get personal for a minute?

One of the downsides since launching Blizzard Watch is that I have less time to write and interact with the community (beside Twitter)… no time for podcasts, lots of other posts, etc… And that means I don’t get to (friendly) argue with Matt Rossi anymore. And because of that I spent a couple hours this morning writing a reply to a question that wasn’t really asked …  just for Matt.

Let us Queue.

The Queue: Oh no, not again

Welcome back to The Queue, our daily Q&A feature for all of Blizzard’s games! Have a question for the Blizzard Watch staff? Leave it in the comments!

It seems like every time I get really comfortable exploring alpha, that’s when the game decides to introduce me to a staircase that isn’t actually solid, or a bit of ground that isn’t really ground at all. I don’t necessarily mind — I mean, it’s alpha, nothing really counts on alpha. At the same time, the end result is that I’m entirely too cautious and on-edge for the next several weeks until I start to relax again.

And then I get dropped in the bottomless pit beneath the earth. I mean, at this point, who needs Old Gods anyway? Let’s get to your questions.

The Queue: Anyone who picks baseball is wrong

Hello, Queuebies!

It’s been a busy week since I last Queue’d for you, in all the best ways. That said, a side effect of my little trip to California was that, for the first time, I could not participate in this month’s Splatfest. Good news and bad news: Soccer won in popularity 60% to 40%, but lost overall because both solo-queue and team-queue battles only won 49% of matches.

Could I have made up that just-over-1% difference in wins had I been playing for Team Soccer? I wish I knew — not knowing will haunt me forever. Speaking of haunting, though, here’s a hauntingly beautiful Queue!

The Queue: Na na na na na na na leader!

There’s really no reason for The Queue’s intro today other than the fact the wife and I watched the episode of the Simpsons where they all joined the Leader’s cult and homer collected leaderbeans.

And really, isn’t a collection of leaderbeans just a symbol for today’s social media-drive liked upvoting shared on instagram and retweeted with eight-thousand favorites sort of li(f)e?

I’ll be over here, blowing your minds. Let us Queue.

The Queue: Five months

Well, maybe a little less, since we’re a week into April and Battle for Azeroth will be launching in mid-August, but we’re still looking at the end of Legion. If there’s any stuff you were trying to get done like the Mage Tower, now’s the time.

Let’s talk about Blizzard games.

The Queue: Advance planning

Welcome back to The Queue, our daily Q&A feature for all of Blizzard’s games! Have a question for the Blizzard Watch staff? Leave it in the comments!

Don’t get me wrong, Gallywix’s new model is utterly breathtaking and all. But what’s up with the blueprints on the wall behind him? Are those even blueprints? A map? Some kind of key to a hidden treasure trove? That looks like either a Night Elf building, or maybe a Pandaren building. I mean, maybe we shouldn’t read too much into the scenery and all, but I can’t really help but wonder what exactly that little note is all about, you know?

Let’s take a break from pondering, and answer some of your questions instead.
