The Queue: The Richter scale
Happy Tombsday, everyone!
You know what instantly endears me to a show or movie? An original score that blows me away. Such is the case with The Leftovers, which recently ended its run after three incredible seasons and is, frankly, underrated. It managed to reinvent itself every season while still feeling like the same show. I can see how the show isn’t for everyone, but personally, it’s one that I will forever consider influential on how I write.
What’s your underrated/inspirational show/movie/book? Give it a thought, and maybe read some questions while ya do.
The Queue: Class mounts, bottlenecks, and the old guild
The last question in today’s Queue got me going down memory lane… It was kind of dangerous. I’m now thinking of popping over to the server and saying hello to a few folks.
The Queue: Anniversary
My wife and I got engaged during a Molten Core run. This weekend we’re celebrating our 11th year married with a trip to the mountains in Jasper. We will be spending time in a cabin, going for nature walks, and perhaps I may commune with my Sasquatch kin.
Hopefully y’all will have a good weekend in my absence.
This is the Queue. Let’s chat.
The Queue: Hi, it’s me again
Anne isn’t here, so I am. Sup? Let me dust off this ol’ copy/paste real quick…

The Queue: Home is where the Jarod is
Seriously, I’m not saying my Night Elf Warrior is in love with Jarod Shadowsong.
I don’t have to because look at the two of them. I don’t think she could be more obvious if she said “Hiiiiii, Jaaaaarod” every time she saw him. Which she probably does.
Anyway, this is the Queue. I had a pretty hectic week launching the new book. Played some D3, spent some time failing to log into WoW today. What’ve y’all been up to?
The Queue: La Vie en rose
Tirisfal isn’t what it used to be, but that doesn’t make it feel any less like “home” to me in the world of Azeroth. It’s where my journey into the game first began — the music, the NPC voice lines, the unexpectedly high-level mobs just beyond the Bulwark… it all brings me back. What do you consider “home” to be in WoW? Or is this just a game and sentimentality dead?
Ponder that while you read some questions!
The Queue: Alts, maintenance, assassins, and more
Hey guys, I finally found the real WoW killer… Magic the Gathering: MMO.
Snicker.
The Queue: Your friends will explode
Back in the day I raided in AQ 40 when it was the hot new raid and we’d just mastered writing. One of the things that was weird and cool about that raid was, C’thun (the Old God who was the big boss of the raid) would randomly whisper things like Your heart will explode or your friends will abandon you to your raid. Now, my wife Julian used to play in the same room as I did, and as a result often C’thun would whisper to her and then to me within a second or so. As a result, the whispers would get mangled together, and we’d often hear Your heart will abandon you or your friends will explode, which to our mind was both every bit as creepy and also a touch more bizarre as threats go.
Your Heart Will Abandon You sounds like a 70’s country song to me.
Anyway, this is the Queue. My new book is out, if you like weird Lovecraftian monsters making friends explode. Even if you don’t.
The Queue: This pear, so delicious

I have to say, despite the hassle at the end, I really enjoyed the Rogue class mount quests. They made me remember why I like playing a Rogue so much — skulking around in the middle of places I definitely should not be. It took a little longer than expected to carry out the last leg of the mission, but it was totally worth it.
…I don’t think I’m going to show my face in Stormwind again for a while, though.
The Queue: Wrath of the Lich Queen
It’s so nice to have a space all to myself, where I can kick back and relax, totally unbothered by my arch-nemesis Mitch. Ah, yes, truly, Wednesday is a good day. Peaceful and—
