The Queue: Polearms

One of the things I don’t like about playing a Night Elf Warrior is how they hold 2h weapons. They tend to hold axes, swords and maces up in front of themselves in a somewhat awkward grip that obscures the face. It’s really bad on a lady Night Elf.

But they don’t do this with polearms.

I’m always going to love Ashkandi best, but I’m indulging in the polearm animations on my Warrior right now, especially since I have a whole host of polearm skins I rarely get to use. The Ulduar ones in particular (the one pictured is Lotrafen if you’re curious) really go well with my current look.

Let’s talk about stuff.

If you haven’t used the Whole Body Shrinka’ and taken a stroll around Dalaran, I highly recommend it. There’s nothing like being a few inches tall to make all those little details in the scenery really stand out. It kind of takes the phrase “fresh perspective” to a completely different level, doesn’t it?

The Queue: Legends of the hidden temple

The real history of the Tomb of Sargeras is almost kind of lost in the sea of black and fel green that has mostly consumed the Broken Shore at this point. I mean, the signs indicating it was a Night Elf temple at one point in history are all there, but they get a little washed out. Unlocking flying means that players can get a closer look at the place, and it’s worth it — the design of the former Temple of Elune is pretty amazing, fel green tint or no.

The Queue: A Soft Pink World

Okay, so I have no idea how much y’all care about my eye treatments, but one of the side effects of having a laser used to burn away patches of your retina to keep the blood vessels from growing over it (thus blinding you) is that said laser is very powerful. It’s roughly six times as intense as what they use in Lasik. So the immediate result is that everything is intensely purple for about an hour, and then there’s a soft pink glow that can remain for a while longer.

Last Thursday, I went in for my most recent treatments, and the resulting lasers left me seeing a rosy pink glow for three days. Finally faded on Sunday.

This is The Queue. Let’s talk Blizzard games.
