The Queue: Spooky season?
I’ve always had a tendency to veer toward gothic horror and modern thrillers during the summer. Since I discovered my grocery store already started stocking pumpkin spice coffee creamer, right now it really feels like it’s almost Halloween. It’s a feeling I can really get behind. No, wait… it’s… it’s behind YOU!
This is The Queue, where you ask us questions and we definitely aren’t about to apologize. You should’ve seen your face.
The Queue: You can’t fight fate
Unless it’s your destiny to fight fate, then you can’t not fight it.
My guild bopped our way through Heroic Fated Castle Nathria this week. It was just like riding a bike! Sort of. We had some trial and error, and the new Fated affixes made a couple of the fights interesting, especially the Sun King fight. Having a thing pop out that puts shields on every enemy in the encounter really messed with some of our timings. We also ran into a situation on Sire Denathrius where the new Fated creation that needs to be interrupted spawned right as we were being pulled down into the second phase of the fight.
It didn’t come with us. Turns out it can still hit you with its cast from all the way up on the top floor.
Other than that it wasn’t too bad! I like getting to see the content again in a new way for these few months while we wait for Dragonflight to come out.
While I go polish up on our boss strategies for Sanctum of Domination, it’s time for — The Queue.
The Queue: The hero we need
While he doesn’t cut a particularly dashing figure, it’s clear that the great investigator Murloc Holmes is the hero we need right now. You think I’m joking, but I’m not. Murloc Holmes ought to be wandering around Revendreth, questioning Dredgers in mrgls and grmrgls, following footprints, and interrogating suspicious passers-by (namely us). I want to see him sit down for tea with Theotar and I want to talk him into coming to the Ember Court. I have never wanted anything to be added to WoW so badly.
Come on, Blizzard, this would be great and you know it.
The Queue: Twas the day before my birthday
Mitch asked for someone to take the Queue, and with my birthday just a day away I figured why not? It’s also the day before The Sandman arrives as well as new episodes of Harley Quinn and 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. But that’s tomorrow.
Today, we answer questions!
The Queue: Shooting at the walls of heartache
Yes, guys, I’ve been on the Dragonflight Alpha since the Warrior talents came online, I’ve made an Arms Warrior (Horde side) and a Fury and Protection Warrior (both Alliance) for testing purposes. I’ve literally only had a few hours to mess around, and I’m working on a post about what I think. So far, I’m mixed in my response.
Anyway, this is the Queue. Today’s music is by Scandal, with Patti Smyth on vocals, the 80’s classic The Warrior. Because of course it is.
The Queue: Swoglet
Swoglet.
I’ve been on vacation for a week and just logged into to alpha for the first time, so as soon as I saw this little dude it consumed my every last brain cell.
This is The Queue, where you ask us questions and we swoglet.
The Queue: Time flies like an arrow
Fruit flies like a banana!
I couldn’t resist.
Yesterday was my four-year anniversary with Blizzard Watch!! I can’t believe it’s been so long! I’ve almost gotten to cover three expansions of Warcraft for y’all, not to mention all of the other Blizzard games updates that have come out over that period. I look forward to getting some time off from the day job soon so I can actually get my fingers into the Dragonflight alpha, and the upcoming season four in Shadowlands.
I also need to start clearing space on a shelf somewhere for my five-year sword, which is something that I definitely am assuming that the site will provide for me…
While I check my contract again, it’s time for — The Queue.
The Queue: Eldritch horror edition
I would have thought it was Mitch’s job to discuss eldritch horrors, but I suppose we all have to pitch in where we can. Let’s Queue.
The Queue: Tour gasping
It’s been a minute since I ran Torghast — by which I mean, I don’t think I’ve run it since 9.0. While clearing my quest log last night, I decided to finally check it out and get rid of whatever quest wanted me to do The Jailer’s Gauntlet. It was fun! I mean, it was still Torghast, but it was nice and to the point, which I appreciated. I just made it through Layer 2, too, so I’m gonna give Layer 3 the ol’ college try here shortly.
In the meantime, it’s Queue time.
The Queue: Dracthyr Warriors
They should be a thing. Or at least a Dracthyr spec that can use 2h swords.
