It looks like War Mode may be getting a little change in WoW's patch 8.1, according to a recent update on the PTR.
Tuesday marks the first major patch for Battle for Azeroth, and while it's obviously not as major as one of WoW's pre-expansion patches, it's still big enough that players may have some pre-patch goals to hit.
Battle for Azeroth introduced a new way to engage in World PVP: War Mode.

With War Mode now officially out in World of Warcraft, players are able to experience the thrill of PVP realms without the need to actually be on a PVP realm.
When talking about a patch that alters the game as drastically as Patch 8.0 does, I want to advise you to not panic.

At first glance, the removal of PVP servers might seem like Blizzard wants to reduce the role of PVP in World of Warcraft, but after getting a chance to play with War Mode I think the opposite is true.
You won't have to wait for the expansion to play in War Mode.
