You know, I wondered why goblins had crazy flamingo cutouts and other strange oddities strewn about their campsites, but it turns out they have a purpose. That penguin isn’t going to be getting underfoot anytime soon, is it? Given my penchant for flamingo-collecting in Animal Crossing, I can’t blame the little guy for his infatuation, but I feel a little bad for what’s inevitably going to happen once we move on to another expansion. Whichever Goblin is tasked with putting that flamingo away is going to get a face-full of angry amorous penguin wrath. I sort of wish we’d get to see it.

This expansion has given us some of the most lovingly-crafted, well designed ships I’ve ever seen. They’re a far cry from the stale and mostly-empty pirate vessels that litter the coasts, you know? Forget the fancy mounts, the pretty horses and cool raptors and frogs. I’d like a boat, please. I mean…if we can’t have player housing, can I just have a ship to call my own? Maybe? Seriously, look at that thing. It’s gorgeous.

2018 is drawing to a close, and frankly I’m all right with leaving it all behind. But as you count down the minutes to 2019, keep this in mind: Thirty years have passed on alternate Draenor since we defeated Archimonde and saved everyone, and Lantresor is still carrying around a mining pick. I guess he learned to appreciate his garrison assignment?

First off, it’s nice to see Jaina and her mother just having an idle conversation in Boralus. I wasn’t really expecting the idle conversation I happened to stumble across. But far more importantly — hey Katherine, I like libraries too. Actually I’d love to just, you know, take a look around the Proudmoore estate in general. I bet it’s really neat in there! …seriously it’s a giant building smack in the middle of the capital city, it’d be cool if you’d open the doors, you know?

Nothing quite like jumping into a new patch and nabbing an achievement — especially when it comes with a very pretty horse as a reward for years and years of filling reputation bars. None of the NPCs seem to be terribly impressed with him, but considering just how many absolutely bonkers things people choose to ride around on, I’m not exactly surprised. I mean, once a humble fruit vendor’s seen someone trot by on a four-footed pile of screaming Draenei heads I expect it’s all downhill from there, probably.

I have a dog now. I’ve never actually been a “dog person,” but I’ve always had a soft spot for Badger — he’s one of my sister’s dogs, but he’s always wanted to be a solo house dog and he gets to be that here. He also gets to be relentlessly spoiled and I doubt he’ll object to that. He’s currently curled up right next to my chair, nose on my feet, where he will happily stay as long as I let him.

I have a feeling I’m going to be a dog person in very short order. Anyway, let’s get to your questions!
