This month’s Splatfest was a bit of a different one. Not only did it use a revamped system to determine the winner (Clout instead of matches won), it also resulted in the first win for Marina in a long time. Unfortunately, it also happened to be the Splatfest where I’ve been the most genuinely angry at the game.

When 11:00 p.m. rolled around, I had an hour left to get in just a couple wins. I figured I’d be done in 20-30 minutes tops. So, naturally, I wound up going on a 7-game losing streak where the matchmaking consistently placed me against teams that were rated higher. I don’t know why, but it frustrated me to no end. I finally hit Queen (the max Splatfest rank) at 11:57 p.m.. I was not a happy camper.

Anyhow, that’s literally all for any Nintendo-related anything that we’ll be discussing today. Let’s Queue.

Earlier this week, Ion Hazzikostas revealed a whole heck of a lot of information about upcoming World of Warcraft features.

It feels like just yesterday our little Cube overlord was making its first awkward roll through the land. But yesterday, the mighty Cube (a.k.a. “Kevin”) made it to what I can only assume is its final destination.

Upon taking a dive into Loot Lake, Kevin transformed the entire thing into a purple, glowy trampoline. It was really quite impressive, and — I can’t say this enough — a really fun way to tell a story via nothing but map changes. Give it a watch if you have a spare minute or two. Kudos, Fortnite! I await whatever is in store for Loot Thanos Lake next!

Before I dive into your questions, I have a question for all of you: What song(s) do you know of that have the biggest contrast between sounding upbeat and happy versus lyrics that are sad/existential/totally not what you’d expect from the tune?
