I have been playing World of Warcraft for its entire existence, and in most cases, it's been because of the friends I have who play it -- the people who run dungeons and raids, or just chat over Battle.net, or even just talk on Twitter about the game.

I haven't played a single video game since Friday, July 30.

There are times when the developers of a video game don't end up delivering on features that they meant to implement, for a range of reasons.

World of Warcraft is famous for taking liberties with the animals it presents.

One thing I have been hearing for literally years at this point is the idea that Warcraft, as a franchise, is tied to the concept of conflict, or outright war, between Orcs and Humans, or the Horde and the Alliance, and that this cycle is instrumental to the success of the franchise and must be retained as part of the setting's core.

Sometimes it's a mechanical change -- getting rid of an ability you've gotten used to, or even built your character around, or removing specific talent or ability choices.

I sign up to tank dungeons in the middle of the night I do this on various characters, all of my warriors, my death knight, and my paladins.

Tabletop RPGS predate the MMO video game genre, and MMOs borrowed heavily from their predecessors.

We all have our collections, right?
