Though the finals for the community tournament Bloodlust are this weekend, there's not much else going on in the world of Heroes of the Storm esports until BlizzCon.

The StarCraft-themed Machines of War event is finally landing in Heroes of the Storm today.

After a surprising showing at the PAX Prime Heroes of the Storm North American regional tournament last week, the only pro games this week are in Korea.

While there's nothing new and exciting this week, you just have one more week to wait, Heroes of the Storm fans. Machines of War and new hero Alarak are both due to hit the Nexus next Tuesday on September 13.

We're pretty excited about Heroes of the Storm this week.

There aren't a ton of Heroes of the Storm professional esports events to watch this weekend.

Whether you're excited about the upcoming Machines of War event or the arrival of Zarya and Alarak in Heroes of the Storm, you have some time to wait. Machines of War (with two new maps), Alarak, a free hero for everyone, and (we're guessing) a rework of Valla will go live on September 13 which leaves us with three weeks to wait for new content.

Though we knew we would be getting a rework of Valla in a future patch, today's patch notes include changes to eight heroes, none of which are Valla.
