I've heard it said that no game is perfect -- even great games, nearly universally beloved ones like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom or Red Dead Redemption 2 have aspects that annoy even the most staunch apologists.
Why do games have such terrible inventory systems?
There's some kind of evil extradimensional entity that makes developers simultaneously create huge, expansive open worlds for players to explore while also including a crafting system to make things.
