Overwatch 2

Lots of change is underway in Overwatch as Blizzard gears up for the arrival of the team-shooter's anticipated sequel.

Overwatch players always have plenty to celebrate when the game's birthday rolls around every May.

Having watched a lot of competitive Overwatch League play, I had a few thoughts on the introduction of a ping system in Overwatch 2, which will allow players to "ping" the map to organize without relying on voice chat.

Overwatch 2 will officially start its beta test on April 26 — at least for the PVP portion of the game.

The Overwatch team and game director Aaron Keller announced today that Overwatch 2 is moving into the testing phase, with the PVP modes being tested first and the PVE mode will come later.

This annual event has a limited but lovely collection of new looks for the Overwatch heroes.

Overwatch keeps the event energy strong as soon as we turn over a fresh calendar page, kicking off with a Lunar New Year celebration.

Back in the late 1990s/early 2000s, Blizzard had several TTRPG products out -- from licensed Diablo properties from Wizards of the Coast themselves to the Warcraft/ World of Warcraft Roleplaying Game.

They probably won't be here anytime soon — we know for a fact that some of Blizzard's biggest titles that are still in development, like Diablo 4 and Overwatch 2, won't be released in 2022.

The final special event in Overwatch for 2021 is Winter Wonderland.
