Hear me out.

Now that World of Warcraft lets you choose between all of its previous expansions up to Battle for Azeroth to level from 10 to 50 in, I'm curious about which one you folks are choosing the most often.

So you're interested in playing Burning Crusade Classic, but you're a rebel, an iconoclast.

I'll say this up front -- I hope you end up liking the Archivist's Codex and their new resource, Catalogued Research, because you're going to be spending a lot of it in patch 9.1, thanks to the incoming catch up gear mechanics that will be coming from Korthia in the upcoming patch.

I admit it, I still prefer getting gear to drop in a dungeon or raid.

There are some new changes coming to Torghast in patch 9.1, one of which is a new bonus area, Adamant Vaults.

I'm not specifically speaking about World of Warcraft lore here -- it can be any game, from Deckard Cain's last act in Diablo 3 to the fate of Phoibe in Assassin's Creed Odyssey, from Ethan discovering the truth in Resident Evil Village to the final confrontation with Adam Smasher in Cyberpunk 2077.

We already noted that in patch 9.1, you'll be able to send Soul Ash to alts, meaning that you could conceivably farm Soul Ash on a bunch of your characters and funnel it towards one you want to craft a legendary for.

The philosophy of the development of Burning Crusade Classic has been fascinating to watch, as the expansion to WoW Classic has been one that's been much less reticent to make changes and alter the game from its original form.

Of course, I have been playing World of Warcraft since 2004.
