Diablo 3 Season 26 has an end date announced, so now we start asking the inevitable question: When can we expect the next season?

Diablo 3 Season 26 started April 15, introducing a new endgame activity for the season's theme -- the Echoing Nightmare -- that will persist following the end of Season 26.

Wyatt Cheng, the Game Director on Diablo Immortal and former patch lead on Diablo 3 who worked on the game at the time of its release, took to Twitter to answer fan questions in an impromptu Q&A to celebrate the game's 10th anniversary, and was asked about why the team on D3 at the time chose to create the best zone in the game, Whimsyshire.

Usually the sentence, "enjoy Echoing Nightmares forever," would seem kind of ominous, and well, it still does, because it's Diablo 3's 10th Anniversary, and in celebration we're getting the popular Echoing Nightmares mode from Season 26 added permanently to the game.

Another Diablo 3 Season has begun, with Season 26 representing the theme of Echoing Nightmare starting on April 15.
