Patch 9.1.5

It was only through rampant anti-Spelltome propaganda from people with sinister motives that we ended up with a walking tree mount, so we're glad to see the Soaring Spelltome mount coming to World of Warcraft this week, when Legion Timewalking returns the Mage Tower challenges to the game.

Shadowlands patch 9.1.5 is very alt-friendly, especially in terms of making unlocks account wide.  Armor upgrade items from Archivist's Codex can be purchased by all characters once one reaches Tier 6 reputation, and the Covenant armor appearances, mounts, and toys can be used by all characters after a character reaches Renown 80 with the Covenant.

Shadowlands was far from an alt-friendly expansion when it was first released.

World of Warcraft's patch 9.1.5 has made catching up on your alts easier than ever.

In World of Warcraft patch 9.1.5 Battle for Azeroth raid instances were all placed on Legacy Loot, which means that when they are killed -- rather than using the personal loot system and thus potentially dropping nothing at all -- these raids will now drop an assortment of gear when killed, not limited to or restricted to pieces that your character would usually have on their loot table.

Shadowlands patch 9.1.5 added a lot of quality of life features for those of us adventuring in the Maw and Korthia -- alts are now able to skip the Maw introduction, and those farming Archivist's Codex for item upgrades will have better acquisition rates.

I'm a transmog junkie, and I love farming for older looks I missed for various reasons from I didn't run that content when it was current to the blasted thing just refuses to drop and so, World of Warcraft patch 9.1.5 is a bit of a delight for me, with several nerfs to Legion raids and the debut of solo queues for Island Expeditions.

It's now past Wednesday, my friends, which means that World of Warcraft's patch 9.1.5 is out in the whole world -- and it's time to talk about it.
