Pet-battles

A recent Legion build added new battle stones that would increase the maximum rarity of pets from rare to epic — and because epic pets would be a lot more powerful than rare pets, it would mean everyone would have to get them in order to do Legion pet battles.

The latest alpha build for Legion has brought with it a few new pet developments.

One thing I've noticed while leveling through Legion is that there are a lot of Battle Pets out there available through questing, by killing rares, or simply by stumbling into the right place at the right time.

Some substantial pet battle changes are on the way in the upcoming Legion expansion.

The Legion alpha is full of plenty of new quests, zones, class halls and more -- including a wide variety of new Battle Pets to fight, capture, purchase and discover.

The Warcraft team usually adds small hints and cute little touches to find here and there throughout the world.

This week marks the Pet Battle Bonus Event, which I don't usually pay too much attention to, except that the stars aligned and brought Squirt to my garrison.

Though World of Warcraft has received some graphical overhauls over the year, parts of the original game remain extremely polygon-y — particularly classic-era battle pets.

The datamining wizards at Wowhead are at it again, and this time they've unearthed some brand new battle pets that may turn up in the next World of Warcraft expansion, Legion.
