Timewalking

In the WoW Archivist column, we take you back in time to another era of the game. In patch 6.2, Blizzard is offering a way to do that literally.

Hellfire Citadel, Tanaan Jungle, Timewalking dungeons, and shipyards are headed to World of Warcraft on June 23 with patch 6.2: Fury of Hellfire.

I really do not know how I feel about Timewalking dungeons. On the one hand, as I've discussed before, I'm excited to go back in time with the modern Enhancement toolkit, since there are many times when massive AoE damage and useful crowd control were the pinnacle of dungeon design.

For those of you waiting on World of Warcraft's patch 6.2 release date, it doesn't look like you'll be waiting much longer.

With patch 6.2 very much active on the PTR, today Blizzard released a preview for the Bonus Events and the Adventure Guide so that those not on the PTR can get a good idea of what new things await on patch day.

One of the constant discussions I've seen in my time covering World of Warcraft is that the game has a host of older content that is still fun and interesting and visually well designed, and all of that legacy content is sadly irrelevant as soon as the next expansion comes along. Well, one of the features of patch 6.2 that aims to change that is Timewalking. And Timewalking seems set to make us actually want to run older content again.

Timewalking now has an explanation to go with all the glimpses of information we pulled together last night.
