Malthael is the next hero to arrive in Heroes of the Storm.

Not long after we got to take a look at the new cinematic intros for the Necromancer, we're being treated with a new patch for Diablo 3's beta -- which, by the way, is still offering increased experience and Blood Shard gains until tomorrow night.

In what Blizzard is calling a "server slam" (AKA a stress test), the Diablo 3 Necromancer beta is receiving a short-term, 100% boost to both experience and Blood Shard gains.

If you're raring to play a Necromancer in Diablo 3 and want to make sure to plan it all out carefully from the jump, the Diablo 3 Character Planner now has a PTR version that lets you work on your Necromancer.

No, we still don't have a release date for Diablo 3's Necromancer, but we do have updated patch 2.6.0 (AKA the Necromancer beta) patch notes for your enjoyment.

Sometimes I wonder just who's still playing Diablo 3 — because while I've found it a tremendously fun game, the lack of new content has left me bored.

Since we've heard nothing about a new Diablo 3 expansion (and the Necromancer is clearly not tied to any new expansion) I've found myself musing a lot about what I'd do next if I was in charge of Diablo as a property.
