How do you feel about the linear leveling experience in Shadowlands?
It's been a while since we had a linear leveling experience in World of Warcraft, where the game's story took you from Zone A to Zone B with no decision on your part. Warlords of Draenor had a single starting zone for each faction, but you could more or less decide which zone to go to next after that, while Legion and Battle for Azeroth both allowed you to pick and choose which zone you wanted to run.
How fast should you be able to level in a new expansion?
There's no question that the 50 to 60 leveling curve is pretty relaxed in Shadowlands, as some players managed to get to max level within three hours of the expansion's release, and even pokey players like me hit level 52 in a couple of hours of gameplay. World of Warcraft has probably never been easier to level in than it is in Shadowlands, and I'm curious what you think of that fact -- are you happy to be getting to max level relatively quickly, or at least to be able to do so, even if you're taking your time?
How fast are you planning to devour all the Shadowlands content?
It's officially Shadowlands time, and that means it's time to go crazy trying to blaze through to level 60 as fast as humanly possible while doing every single dungeon, every quest, everything the game has to offer all at once, progress every profession, go go go it's here it's here aaaaaaaahh.
So, what are you doing in the final hours before Shadowlands launches?
By the time this post goes live, we'll have less than half a day before Shadowlands officially makes its worldwide debut.
How should new mounts become available in WoW?
I see arguments and division every time a new mount is discovered in World of Warcraft, and I'm confused by it, because it seems like no matter how that mount is available to players, someone is upset by it.
What’s the best kind of pre-expansion event?
I think the Legion pre-expansion event was my favorite World of Warcraft pre-expansion event.
How are you handling the last week of Battle for Azeroth?
I just can't even. World of Warcraft has broken me.
What impact have Blizzard games had on your life?
I ask questions here sometimes because the answers have an illuminating presence on my own life.
What are your favorite naming conventions for player characters?
With the Northrend Shadowlands pre-patch event going on, one of the most fun -- the most gear-rewarding -- one of the easiest ways to obtain Pitch Black Scourgestones is to kill the rare spawns every twenty minutes.
How do you feel about characters being removed from the story?
The current pre-patch brought with it an important lore fight.
