Breakfast Topic: The community still surprises me

I've met people via World of Warcraft that I consider my friends, even years after we played together. People who I've shared with and had them share with me, because that's the secret of WoW - it's the people. It's always been, and will always be, the people you meet and play with that make the game worth playing - all the content in the world won't make you happy without people to play through it with.

Breakfast Topic: Every new beginning

When I left my progression raiding guild and settled down into my current 'raid when I can get to it' guild, I realized things had changed for me and World of Warcraft. It's not that I love the game any less -- after eleven years I think it's safe to say that WoW and I are officially a thing -- but I just finally lost my taste for what it takes to raid content at the highest level the game offers.

Breakfast Topic: Irrational hatreds

I'm always surprised at how some things are almost traditions in World of Warcraft, and the most surprising (to me) is the Mage vs. Warlock hate. Even more so than the Alliance/Horde rivalry and that one's pretty weird, if you think about it -- how deep the divide between players of a video game based entirely on what color the background for their faction is, ultimately.
