Hello, Watchers, and happy frozen Wednesday!

I’m sure it’s not frozen for all of you — frankly, I’d be very concerned if it were — but here in the midwest, we’re getting a lot of snow. Like, a lot a lot. If history is any indication, it’ll either be gone by Friday or it won’t melt until like April.

Anyhow, this is The Queue, and unlike outside, it’s hopefully not too cold and unpleasant.

I'm really enjoying Dragonflight now that I've let myself relax and enjoy the characters I have -- the most stressful time for me in any expansion is always the part where I level certain characters to max level.

Today is the release of the first World of Warcraft Dragonflight patch — 10.0.5 — and we have an extended downtime ahead of us.

When patch 10.0.5 goes live later today we'll finally get a much-requested transmog feature: we'll finally be able to transmog white and gray quality items.

Patch 10.0.5 for World of Warcraft's Dragonflight expansion release date is January 24, so it's now live!

While I understand being a little excited for new stuff, we get Patches all the time. At this point it’s kind of ho hum, isn’t it? I mean, unless you highroll early and can race to tier five to grab Hogger ASAP. Even with the nerf to Murlocs, highroll stat builds tend to get outpaced by– oh, it’s not that game? oh. okay.

Patch 10.0.5 brings us the Trading Post, a new reward system for World of Warcraft on a monthly rotation (the first one begins February 1) that allows you to earn currency by logging on to WoW during a month as well as completing the Battle Pass itself.

The World of Warcraft  team recently released the Dragonflight content roadmap for 2023, outlining six planned patch releases throughout the year to ensure a consistent stream of updates players can look forward to, including the first patch, arriving today, January 24.

The initial patch of Dragonflight, patch 10.0.5, arrives this week.
