Introduced in patch 8.2, Essences for the Heart of Azeroth were unequivocally a great addition to the game.

It’s Monday. More importantly, it’s the Monday after BlizzCon, where we were promptly deluged with enough information that we’ll likely be spending the next several months entrenched in it all and trying to unravel it. I don’t know about you all but if anyone wakes me before my alarm in the next week or so I’m probably going to channel my inner banshee. But hey. I know why you’re here. You’ve got questions, and I probably have at least some answers for you. So let’s get to that, shall we?

BlizzCon had a lot of great surprises, but my favorite announcement wasn't a game, or a feature, or even a release date.

BlizzCon 2019 is officially over -- but day two didn't fall short on the exciting news front, and had just as much to obsess over as day one!

Yes it will.

This BlizzCon has been packed chock full of great announcements and cool panels to go with them.

One title conspicuously absent from this year's opening ceremonies, and indeed from the entire BlizzCon schedule, was Diablo Immortal. Announced as the key new product at BlizzCon 2018, the mobile title attracted a broadly negative reaction from a community that had been first told to get hype but then promptly to rein it in.

At BlizzCon 2019, Xiaomeng "VKLiooon" Li of China defeated Brian "bloodyface" Eason of Atlanta, Georgia in a 3-0 sweep to win Hearthstone Grandmasters, becoming the first woman to ever win the global Hearthstone championship.

During the World of Warcraft: What’s Next Panel at BlizzCon, we learned about Anima, a vital life force souls carry into the Shadowlands.
