Ah, patch day in World of Warcraft!

With the launch of Shadowlands pre-patch on October 13, a new Mentor system will encourage veteran players to help newbies get started.

Nothing kills fun in a tabletop RPG faster than a rules argument.

Much is changing, or being added, when patch 9.0 -- the pre-patch for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands -- hits the servers this Tuesday, but a considerable amount of things are also going away.

Thanksgiving is the second reason why October is the best month. I just love a great big feast. I guess spending time with family and friends is ok too. But I’d be lying if I said the food wasn’t a big part of it.

Pre-expansion patches -- and expansions themselves -- are always an exciting time.
